Mike Shannon

Mike Shannon is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and as a PGA professional has held numerous PGA Professional positions at such places as:

-Augusta National Golf Club, Augusta, Georgia(home of the Masters)
-Grandfather Golf & Country Club, Linville, North Carolina
-Houston Country Club, Houston, Texas
-Tupelo Country Club, Tupelo, Mississippi

Mike has been Director of Golf at:

-Old Waverly Golf Club, West Point, Mississippi
-Isleworth Country Club, Windermere, Florida (Tiger Wood's home course)

Mike is Currently Director of Golf - Montgomery Country Club, Montgomery, Alabama.Mike is also currently serving as the Secretary of the Dixie Section PGA.

Some of Mike's professional accomplishments include:

Named Teacher of the Year - Gulf States Section - 1992 and 1994.
Named as on of Golf Digest's Top Teachers - 2000.

Mike Shannon has worked with over 90 players from the PGA TOUR, SENIOR PGA Tour, LPGA TOUR and BUY.COM TOUR.
Currently one of the world's top putting instructors Mike works with Steve Lowery, Paul Azinger, Raymond Floyd, Helen Alfreddson, Janice Moodie and Ian Leggatt on putting.

Cody Barden

Cody Barden, a ten-year veteran of professional golf, is currently the Director of Instruction at the Country Club of Birmingham in Birmingham, Alabama. He oversees and directs all instruction services for the 36 hole, 1800 member, private facility. Prior to this assignment, he served as the Head Menšs Golf Coach at Pepperdine University in Malibu, California and was the Director of Instruction at the Tournament Players Club at Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. Concurrent with these responsibilities, Cody served on the instruction staffs for the PGA Tour/TPC Golf Schools, Golf Digest Instruction Schools, and the Nicklaus/Flick Schools.

During 1993-94, he competed professionally on the Florida Space Coast, Gold Coast and Tommy Armour Tours. Additionally, he has competed as a Monday qualifier on the Nike Tour and in the PGA of America Club Professional Series, while also supporting many Dixie PGA professional events.

In 1995, Cody led the Pepperdine University mens golf team to 5 collegiate tournament victories, a top-10 national ranking, and was selected NCAA West Coast Conference Coach of the Year. His players have collectively won multiple collegiate individual and team titles, an NCAA team championship, and All-America recognition. He has been fortunate to coach four individual state amateur champions, a US Walker Cup player, five Buy.com players, and players on both the PGA and Senior PGA Tours.

He has instructed over 200 golf schools nationally and internationally. Corporate clients have included Merril Lynch, American Express, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Brown Brothers Harriman, Anheuser Busch, CBS, Mastercard, NBC, Motorola, GTE, Dial Corp., Mercedes-Benz and Coca-Cola. His teaching philosophy has been influenced by a number of noted PGA Professionals including, Jack Lumpkin, Martin Hall, Jim Flick, Jay Lumpkin, Eddie Merrins, and Deane Beman.

Cody is a 1991 graduate of the University of Arizona, with a bacheloršs degree in political science. In 1993, Cody was elected to membership in the PGA of America. He currently resides in Birmingham, Alabama.
